Cursed Objects by J.W. Ocker
If you love creepy pictures, strange stories, and haunted objects, then I definitely recommend this one! It’s really fun, a relatively quick read, and the illustrations are absolutely amazing! You’ll find some really creepy but cool objects in here, some I hadn’t ever heard of before!
Death and the Afterlife by Clifford A. Pickover
My next pick is just downright fascinating! Not only does it have very cool art and would look very beautiful on your shelf, but it’s dives into the past and history of multiple cultures regarding death, reincarnation, and other topics that are sure to keep you reading!
Beyond the Dark Veil by The Thanatos Archive
Beyond the Dark Veil may not be what you expect. I first thought that this was a book exclusively about ghosts but was surprised to find it was actually a book regarding Victorian death/postmortem photography and the history behind it. While that may sound morbid (and I’m not gonna lie, it is a bit morbid and certainly macabre), don’t let that deter you! Though it wasn’t what I thought it was, I couldn’t help but be fascinated and intrigued! Not sure I would stay up past midnight reading this one but hey, you do you!
Real Ghost, Restless Spirits, and Haunted Places by Brad Steiger
This is exactly the type of book I would stay up reading with a blanket over my head and a flashlight in hand! I have had this book for many, many years! It was a gift from my parents that started me on my paranormal journey! While it took years as well to fully get through, I’m so glad I did! It’s a great go-to book for learning about the paranormal and I guarantee there are a few stories in here that you have yet to learn about! This a must-have for paranormal addicts! *wink*
199 Cemeteries to See Before You Die by Loren Rhoads
Who doesn’t love a good cemetery stroll? This one is so much fun to read! I’ve always been intrigued by cemeteries since I was a child (which I recently learned was called ‘taphophilia’) and loved to have finally found a book that’s basically a cemetery bucket list! You may find that one (or more) of these are close to you!
